DCM Foiled!

This week's dare from Daring Cardmakers was to use good old aluminum foil on a card. I've posted two pics because I can't seem to capture it just right. The foil is the heavy duty variety and I triple folded it in the Cuttlebug folder - I think it would have cut through otherwise. SU Real Red paper and the cat stamp is from Rubber Bandit. The sentiment (and a lovely one it is!) says,"If I had two dead rats I'd give you one." Isn't that sweet?

Another Challenge

When Michelle posted the weekly challenge on Inkstainers I wasn't sure what to do. The challenge was to make a card using PP, a scallop, and ribbon. Easy, right? Well, I don't own a scallop punch. So . . . I donned my thinking cap, looked around the house and came up with this (see image #2, scallop made by tracing around the cardboard on the Cool Whip lid). Meanwhile, Sharon took pity on me and delivered, in person, a bag of colorful scallop punchies made with her Quick Cutz die. She included a sheet of PP and I made this (top image) last night.

Fun and Funky Envelope

I bought a stamp on ebay from Rubber Bandit Stamps (card to follow after I get it made, LOL) and this was the envelope. What fun! I think I will buy from these people again. The shipping, from New Zealand, took a little over a week. Fantastic!

February Birthday

This is a card for my brother - the mighty fisherman. I have a bunch of cards made for other people but can't post them yet. I'm mailing some tomorrow.

Birthday Card

I love these little chicks! This is one of the stamps I bought on sale at the LSS. She is colored with Prismacolors and put together with SU card stock. Cuttlebug background.

Loot!

The local stamp store is changing hands next month and what a sale is happening! All stamps are 50% off and all paper is .25 a sheet. What could I do? Thirty-one sheets of paper and five new stamps for 44.00 and change. Shimmer paper, textured paper, embossed paper, embossed vellum . . .
