Happenings!

Tomorrow! The restoration starts tomorrow. It will be the boring stuff at first, insulation, plywood, sheetrock; then the fun stuff! We're going to choose a new vanity tomorrow and, at our own expense, a new top and taps. DH says there is no point putting the old stuff back on a new vanity. What else? Hmmm ... flooring! No carpet, thank you very much - I'm going for tile or wood. There will be a paint color to choose but OMG, I wish there were only two colors to pick from because I take forever to make up my mind. DH says 'white'. I don't think so.

I bough a new Shop-Vac today, and a new power nozzle for the vacuum - couldn't fit a compressor in the car. Other BIG thing to pick out will be a bed/mattress and computer desk AND ... because computer desks are not designed to accommodate honking big monitors (like mine - five hundred pounds and extends six feet in the back) I'm buying a new flat panel monitor because I still have money left from Christmas. YAY!

Update

The contract for the "put back" has been awarded and I am waiting for people to invade the house once again. In the meantime, here are pictures of the cuteness that is our grandbrats. Miss Jane (11 mos) is walking all over the place and even managed to stay upright on the gravel in the driveway. Elliot (4 1/2) is feeding sunflower seeds to a lizard. No doubt there is a dinosaur nearby.

Progress?

Yes, progress. At least everything is dry now. We ( and the claim adjuster) are waiting for a second estimate on REconstructing everything.

Really Dirty Little Secret

This is why I can't work in my craft room.

A Break in Regularly Scheduled Programming ...

Because of the flooded basement (wherein lies my crafting space) and the ensuing cleanup/restoration there may not be any new posts for a while. A LOOOOOOOONG while ... we are still waiting to hear from the insurance company as to whether or not they will cover the damage. Positive vibes welcome here.

A Valentine from Elliot

This arrived in the mail today! A beautiful valentine from our four (and a half) year old grandson. He had a bit of help from his mom cutting the hearts but the rest is all his own work. A chip off the old grammyblock.

Great Mail Day!

What a fantastic mail day! Along with the RAK from Gillian there was a mingle card from Michele (Springbreeze) and THIS ------------------------------->>
my order from ' Addicted to Rubber Stamps'. And they included candy. How sweet (pun intended) is that!
